Elegant mid-19th Century rosewood Marine Stick Barometer in original condition; the arched top and ring suspension over well-engraved ivory maker's plate, "F. Sewill - Maker to The Admiralty" and matching barometer plates, the vernier operated by rack-and-pinion mechanism. The slender trunk, of Rio rosewood, inset with Fahrenheit mercury thermometer, concealing original part-capillary barometer tube and terminating in turned brass cistern cover. Mounted on original brass gimbals.
