Large early 20th Century mahogany-cased Thermometer [26.5in. / 67cm.] in original condition. The arched, moulded pediment, with inlaid floral marquetry, over trunk, strung in ebony, with hand-engraved, silvered brass plate, fringed with ebonised and gilded 'egg-and-dart' moulding.
The plate, with alcohol thermometer, inscribed with Fahrenheit scale from -30-140 degrees, and bearing supportive seasonal descriptions.
