Angelo Alberti - Sheffield. 19th Century mahogany Stick Barometer

Good, early 19th Century inlaid mahogany Stick Barometer, with broken arch pediment over well engraved silvered brass register plate, signed by the maker and bearing Fahrenheit thermometer and manually operated vernier slide, protected by glazed door. The trunk, edge moulded, ‘herringbone’ veneered and strung in ebony and boxwood, with exposed barometer tube terminating in turned hemispherical cistern cover.
