rosewood cased dwarf Wheel Barometer; with ‘'swan-neck'
pediment over case, inset with well engraved
silvered brass detachable hygrometer, bow-fronted
Fahrenheit thermometer, very unusual 41/2-inch
diameter barometer dial signed by the maker,
and spirit level, decorated with floral motifs.

A highly talented engraver/barometer maker
who operated from premises in east London from
c1800 for around 40 years up to his retirement
in 1840, when his son, for many years in partnership
with him continued the business until c1860.
