Century mahogany Stick Barometer; the case with
arched top, edge moulded, with book-matched
veneers laid in ‘herring-bone’ style;
the silvered brass register plate classically
engraved, signed by the maker and protected
by glazed door. Original exposed barometer tube
terminating in hemispherical cistern cover.

An illustrious London based instrument maker,
working from premises in Coventry St. from 1805-54,
whose patrons included King George III and the
Duke of Clarence.
