Stick Barometer in original condition. The “ogee”
pediment over finely engraved silvered brass
register plate, signed by the makers and bearing
rack-and-pinion operated vernier. The trunk,
of richly patinated “flame” mahogany
with moulded edges, inset with detachable Fahrenheit
and Réaumur mercury thermometer. The
original concealed barometer tube terminating
within turned cistern cover.
