Fine early 19th Century inlaid mahogany
Stick Barometer; the break-arch pediment over
well engraved exposed silvered brass register
plate, signed by the maker and bearing manually
adjustable vernier. The trunk, edge moulded,
herringbone veneered and chequer strung in ebony
and boxwood, with exposed barometer tube terminating
in turned cistern cover, inset with ivory and
ebony roundel.

One of the finest of the Italian immigrant
barometer makers, whose dynasty continued to
flourish well into the 20th Century.
