pediment, supported on side-brackets, over well
engraved signed silvered brass register plate
with unusual rack-and-pinion operated vernier.
The trunk of rich 'flame' mahogany, edge moulded,
strung in ebony and with concealed barometer
tube terminating in most singular cylindrical
cistern cover [typical of the work of Jesse
Ramsden].
