Elegant mid-19th Century
mahogany cased Marine Stick Barometer; the arched
top with engraved ivory register plates signed
by the maker, bearing rack-and-pinion operated
vernier and protected by glass cover; the trunk,
with slightly bowed sides, bearing inset Fahrenheit
and Réaumur mercury thermometer, and
with concealed barometer tube terminating within
turned brass cistern cover. Replaced gimbals.

Lund is recorded as a clock and watch maker,
working from premises at 23-24 Fleet St. between
1839-58.
